Mr. Bass is responsible for developing and leading BB&Ts marketing and advertising strategy focusing on all client segments, lines of business, subsidiaries and channels. He assumed his current role in June of 2009, but has held various leadership roles within marketing since 2005.Bass joined BB&T in 1984 through the banks management development program. Exclusive of marketing, he has over 20 years of experience in retail and commercial banking. Mr. Bass received a B.S in Business Administration, from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and his MBA from Campbell University. Mr. Bass is a member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church in Winston Salem, N.C.
