Marc Helm

Marc Helm serves as Chief Operating Officer of Reverse Mortgage Solutions, Inc. and as President of RMS Consulting, firms dedicated to servicing Reverse Mortgage loans and advising the mortgage industry on all aspects of operations, management and technology initiatives related to Reverse Mortgages. Prior to joining Reverse Mortgage Solutions, Mr. Helm served as Managing Director of Mortgage Consultants of America and was engaged the bulk of the last decade as Senior Vice President and Manager of Washington Mutual’s Loan Servicing Operations Group, responsible for Loan Servicing Operations business support oversight, acquisitions and integrations, project and initiative management, quality and process improvement for servicing operations, vendor management, business process outsourcing, systems management and other critical support activities and was WaMu’s manager responsible for National Default Operations.Mr. Helm joined Washington Mutual in 2001 and his leadership made possible the successful integration of three major loan servicing operations - Fleet Mortgage, North American Mortgage Company, and HomeSide Lending, and their related systems platform conversions. The Fleet and HomeSide conversions (completed April 2002 and June 2004, respectively) were the two largest and most successful mortgage conversions in the company’s history. Additionally, Mr. Helm and his team led successive WAMU servicing platform conversions to LPS (formerly Fidelity) MSP, the largest system to system conversions until recently in mortgage industry.A 32+-year veteran of the financial services and mortgage banking industry, Mr. Helm joined Washington Mutual through the acquisition of Bank United, where he was Senior Vice President and Director of Loan Administration, responsible for all core servicing operations of the residential, commercial and consumer divisions; all acquisitions and integrations oversight and records management. During his career, Mr. Helm has also served in senior management positions with Barron Financial Group (EVP/CAO), MCA (President/CEO), North American Mortgage (EVP/CAO), and Gibraltar Savings (SVP). Mr. Helm’s industry leadership included serving as Chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) Loan Administration Committee; Chairman of the MBA Technology Committee and as a member of the Fidelity (LPS) Information Systems Mortgage Servicing Advisory Board. Mr. Helm currently serves as a member of NRMLA (Reverse Mortgage) Servicing Committee, the MBA Loan Administration Advisory Board and the MBA Task Force on Reverse Lending.In addition to his business expertise, Mr. Helm holds a Masters degree in Psychology (Counseling) and a Bachelors degree in Sociology (Summa Cum Laude), and he has served as an adjunct professor in the fields of business, psychology, and sociology. He and his wife Sallie have resided in Houston, Texas for 25 years. They have two children, Thomas, a mortgage banker in Houston and Jean Ann (Hargreaves) who is completing her Doctoral studies at the University of Alabama.
