CUSO Financial Services and Sorrento Pacific Financial have launched a new online training center to help their advisors and sales assistants sharpen their sales and administrative skills, the two sister broker-dealers announced on Thursday.
The new training program consists of 15 live and interactive webinars and 38 recorded "on-demand" modules ranging in length from four to 30 minutes. The program materials address both the hard and soft skills financial professionals need to develop to better understand their clients' needs and handle the administrative aspects of their jobs more efficiently, the broker-dealers said.
"All our courses are designed to help our investment program teams improve their productivity and learn new skills, whether they are new to the practice or experienced producers," Amy Beattie, COO of CUSO and Sorrento said in the announcement.
The courses cover a range of topics, including regulatory and compliance matters, research tools, investment products and dataVISION, the broker-dealers' electronic management and reporting system. About 15 of the courses are required, with the rest available as desired.
