Farmers and Merchants Trust Company has switched its investment services program to a new broker-dealer.

The Chambersburg, Pa.-based community bank tapped third-party marketer Cetera Financial Institutions to provide its 26 banking offices with investment, insurance and fee-based advisory services and support, Cetera announced Thursday.

F&M Trust’s investment program is 18 years old, employs nine advisors (including the program manager), and has an estimated $127.7 million in assets under management. It was formerly with INVEST.

“We’re highly focused on delivering an integrated wealth management experience to our clients, serving them seamlessly. In Cetera Financial Institutions, we see a partner that shares the same commitment, and also provides the tools and personalized support to live up to that commitment,” Lise Shehan, senior vice president, investment and trust services manager at F&M Trust, said in a statement.

Since the beginning of the year through the end of August, Cetera has signed six banks and credit unions and added 248 new advisors to its network.

F&M Trust is the largest locally-owned and managed community bank in Franklin County. It has more than $1 billion in assets.
