J.P. Morgan Securities has snagged an industry veteran from HighTower Advisors to serve as regional director in the Los Angeles market, the firm announced on Monday.
Frank Epinger will oversee the firm's downtown Los Angeles, Century City, Newport Beach and Santa Barbara offices, working with financial advisors to serve wealth management clients in the region. He reports to Greg Quental, the firm's CEO.
While at HighTower Advisors, Epinger served as the Los Angeles director responsible for the development of new business and advisor growth in the West and Midwest regions, a position he held since May of 2013. Prior to that, he held senior positions at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. He began his financial services career at UBS/PaineWebber in 1991, according to BrokerCheck.
"We are thrilled that Frank has joined J.P. Morgan Securities," Quental said in a statement. "He brings deep knowledge and experience to our business, and his work in both large-scale firms and more entrepreneurial environments will service our business well.
Epinger succeeds Robert Martensen who served in the role in an interim capacity. Martensen will return to his prior role managing the Newport Beach office, the firm said.
