Northern Trust has bolstered its wealth management team in Orange County, Calif., with the addition of a former JPMorgan Chase executive.
Michael Schanna was hired as a senior wealth strategist, the sixth senior professional to have been hired in the Orange County office in the past year and a half, the company announced Monday.
As a senior wealth advisor, Schanna will work with clients to determine how the bank’s investment and wealth management capabilities may help them reach their financial goals.
Schanna was an executive director and private banker at JPMorgan Chase, where he was responsible for developing new business and managing relationships. Before that, he was a private wealth advisor at Goldman Sachs. He has more than 10 years of wealth management experience, according to Northern Trust.
“Our mission is to serve affluent families with programs and services of the highest level of sophistication and integrity,” Betty Mower Potalivo, the president of Northern Trust’s Orange County region, said in a statement. “We’re confident that Michael’s extensive experience will further strengthen our wealth advisory services to clients.”
Northern Trust, which is based in Chicago, has offices in 18 states and 16 countries.
