Webster Bank is bolstering its private banking team. It has nabbed a former Citi Private Bank portfolio manager to serve the private bank as senior investment manager in Stamford, Conn., the bank announced Monday.

Madorie O’Hara will manage investment portfolios for Webster’s private banking clients. She will also work with private bankers to help identify opportunities, pitch new business and directly manage portfolios, Sarah Barr, Webster Bank’s vice president of External Communications, said in an email.

At Citi Private Bank, O’Hara managed equity and balanced portfolios for private clients, trusts and charitable organizations, according to Webster Bank.

“Madorie brings more than 20 years of investment experience to Webster Private Bank, enhancing an already strong team of professionals who focus on being experts in understanding and meeting their clients’ needs,” Dan FitzPatrick, executive vice president and head of Webster Private Bank, said in a statement.

Webster Private Bank provides banking, investment management, financial planning and fiduciary services to individuals, business owners and institutions with at least $1 million in investable assets.
