Do men and women have anything in common? Surprisingly they do, at least when it comes to retirement planning, according to the 2013 Retirement Confidence Survey co-sponsored by the Employee Benefit Research Institute, a nonprofit research group.
Men and women are equally likely to say that they and/or their spouse have savedor are currently savingfor retirement. And they are almost as likely to indicate that they have tried to calculate how much they will need to save for a comfortable retirement, with 45% of women and 47% of men claiming to have tried to make that calculation.
